Ariel (they/them) is a musician and educator in the Boulder Valley area and joined us as our music director in 2024. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Ariel moved to Colorado in 2018 to attend CU-Boulder, where they earned degrees in flute performance and K-12 music education. They love to create exciting musical opportunities for musicians of all ages. Ariel teaches band and choir in public schools, and performs as a flutist, pianist, and vocalist in the Boulder/Denver area. They feel at home in a variety of musical settings, having performed with orchestras, community bands, choirs, in musical theatre/opera pits, and in churches.
In their free time, Ariel enjoys being outdoors with their partner and dogs, traveling, experimenting in the kitchen, and attending live music/arts events. They are passionate about storytelling of all kinds, and enjoy participating as a performer and audience member in art, music, and theatre. Ariel is thrilled to be part of the ministry team at Heart of Longmont!
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The Heart of Longmont United Methodist Church acknowledges that we gather on the ancestral lands of the first peoples of the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Ute tribes and other indigenous peoples. We honor the history and living spiritual connection that the first peoples have with this land. We recognize the injustices incurred on these peoples when this land was colonized.
