Music Program

Music is the most direct and powerful way that God’s presence is felt by the human soul. Heart of Longmont worship services offer a variety of music styles to help you connect with Christ.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir performs a wide variety of music, from Baroque settings to contemporary gospel. The Chancel Choir is part of worship service on the first and third Sunday of each month from September through June, and also provides music at many other special worship events scheduled throughout the year. There is always room for more people who want to lift their voices in praise of God! Be a part of the entire season, or just be involved as your time permits.

Hand Bell Choir

The Hand Bell Choir is a long-standing tradition at the Heart of Longmont. We are blessed to ring from a five-octave set of Malmark bells along with a three-octave set of hand chimes. The bell choir provides worship music on the second Sunday of each month throughout the year as well as participating in other special worship services such as Christmas Eve and Easter. The traditional ringing season begins in September and goes through early May. Our Summer Ringers’ Series allows ringers to participate month to month from June through August to accommodate vacation time. Our rehearsals take place Monday afternoon at 4:30PM and go no later than 6:00PM. The choir enjoys ringing a variety of music—contemporary, traditional, and original compositions. The choir is open to musicians of varying abilities—we invite you to come, join us and experience the joy of ringing handbells!

Soul Singers

The Soul Singers group joins together to present joyous gospel music, spirituals, and upbeat contemporary songs, singing on the fourth Sunday of every month. Accompanied by piano and acoustic bass, they sing not only at worship services, but also occasionally for other events in the community. Soul Singers welcomes people who just like to sing, as much and as often as they can, and always encourages new and returning participants.
